About

LilaJune lives in a cozy cabin with floor to ceiling bookshelves, mismatched lamps and a teacup collection. When she isn’t snuggled up with a book and her black cat in her old patched up leather armchair she is hiking in the woods collecting rosehips (for tea of course) and wildflowers. LilaJune freelances as a sage but moonlights as an assassin.

If only LilaJune were real and not an alter ego brought to life for the purpose of helping my best friend secretly stalk men folk on OK Cupid (gots to make sure they aren’t creeps yah know)

So despite the fact that my alter ego is infinitely more interesting than I we DO share a near obsession with books especially young adult, scifi, fantasy, science fantasy and an occasional Dean Koonts thriller. Oh. And we both have a black cat… Her name is Misery and she is able to cross between the parallel universes of our lives because….well…she is a cat and they can do things like that.

  9. A Fan Of Your Story says:

Hey ! I have read the beginning of your story “The After” and I am wondering if you would update it. It’s an amazing story, very well written !!! A lot of people are dying for you to keep writing !

    • lilajune says:

      Hi there!
Thanks for taking the time to track me down in the blogosphere!! I’ll admit… I do feel more than a little guilty at leaving the story hanging over there & your kind words are bittersweet indeed!! I will absolutely update someday/ as soon as I am able (started med school in the summer and my life got eaten up by that). I know how the story ends & I know the end is pretty close I just want to make sure to do such beloved characters justice… Ugh!!! much harder than i thought it would be!
Anyway… please know that I respect the need to have a story come to a close and I promise to try to do that for you in the not too distant future!! Thank you, thank you for taking the time to reach out to me 🙂

P.S have you read the stuff by the woman who codes and writes??? She and I are good friends and I adore her work!

  10. Have you ever read a story about Hector? I ask everyone this…I’m trying to get a few books on the bloke.

    • lilajune says:

Not that i’m aware of.. I can only recall a reference in Troilus and Cressida.
Are you writing or just searching for the mythology?

      • I fear I’m just a huge fan of Hector. You know, I’m always wishing he wouldn’t have died. So…I suppose it would be more for creative writing.

      • lilajune says:

        Well, I’d certainly read it : )

Mythology does rather lend itself to a bit of playing around with the story should you be so inclined to rewrite things a tad… though, it is true that all the good characters eventually seem to die horrifically 😉

I’m just coming off a rather long lived fantasy/mythology book hangover myself!

      • Well, thanks!

Yes, what’s with that? Poor Hector. Always made me so cranky.

        Cool! What was it?
